Advancis® Uritabs is a food supplement that contains standardized extracts of traditionally known plants, such as Red Cranberry and Bearberry, in a formula reinforced with FOS (Fructooligosaccharides). This association constitutes an important help in relieving the symptoms associated with uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) and in relapse prevention.
Uva Ursi
Bearberry leaves have traditionally been used for their diuretic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action on the urinary tract, due to the presence of flavonoid glycosides and arbutin. Bearberry is active against colibacilli, the main bacteria responsible for urinary tract infections.
Red Cranberry
Red Cranberries have traditionally been used to prevent and treat urinary infections. Proanthocyanidins (PAC), responsible for the action of Red Cranberry, have been shown to be effective in preventing bacterial adhesion (including Escherichia coli) to the urinary tract wall. This role has been recognized by the French Agency for Food Safety, who recommends an intake of 36 mg of PAC per day, to obtain the recommended beneficial effect for Red Cranberry.
When to Recommend:
Recurrent urinary tract infections
Coadjuvant in uncomplicated urinary tract infections
Relief of urinary discomfort symptoms such as:
- Pain and/or burning when urinating
- Frequent urination
- Urgency when urinating
- Pressure in the lower abdomen
Recommended Daily Dosage:
For relapse prevention: take 1 tablet after breakfast.
In SOS situations (discomfort urinary tract): take 2 tablets after breakfast and dinner.
It should not be taken on an empty stomach.
