NUTRICOSMETICS
Nutricosmetics are a new approach to nutraceuticals and cosmetics, also known as “beauty pills”. This pharmaceutical innovation, may be applied with different purposes, one of them is to fight free radicals which contributes to reduce aging signs.
Between all the components present in nutricosmetics, antioxidants represent the most crucial. The best-known antioxidants are carotenoids (beta-carotene, lycopene and lutein) and polyphenols (anthocyanidins, catechins, flavonoids, tannins, and procyanidins).
